DM : Diabetic status of individuals (1=No, 2=Yes)

Data on spending information of three different sources of advertising and sales in a year.

TV : Spending on TV advertisement (x1000 $)

radio : Spending on radio advertisement (x1000 $)

newspaper : Spending on newspaper advertisement (x1000 $)

12.3 Credit card balance

Data include the credit card balance of 400 individuals and their personal profiles.

ID : Identification

Income : Income in $10,000’s

Limit : Credit limit

Rating : Credit rating

Cards : Number of credit cards

Age : Age in years

Education : Number of years of education

Gender : A factor with levels Male and Female

Student : A factor with levels No and Yes indicating whether the individual was a student

Married : A factor with levels No and Yes indicating whether the individual was married

Ethnicity : A factor with levels African American, Asian, and Caucasian indicating the individual’s ethnicity
